Navodaya Group of Institutions has always believed that education should prepare students for the world they will step into. With Teachmint X, the institution is making professional education more visual, practical, and easier to continue beyond the live class.
Made professional education more visual and practice-ready with Teachmint X
Raichur, Karnataka | Higher Education | Multi-disciplinary campusNavodaya Group of Institutions began in 1991 with a pharmacy college and grew into a multi-disciplinary campus in Raichur, Karnataka, with programs across healthcare, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing, dental sciences, engineering, and professional education.
For Navodaya Group of Institutions, education has always meant more than academic instruction.
Its growth was shaped by a clear belief: students in Raichur should have access to learning environments that prepare them for the real world. That belief guided the institution as it built healthcare facilities, professional colleges, simulation labs, communication labs, language labs, and skill-based learning infrastructure.
The idea behind Navodaya's “Campus of Possibilities” is simple. Students should not have to wait for an opportunity to reach them. The campus should bring opportunity closer.
“Education is the greatest asset. Vidyaya Sarvatha Sadhanam means education is everything.”
This same belief shaped Navodaya's decision to bring Teachmint X into its classrooms.
Professional education depends on clarity.
A pharmacy student has to understand how a drug moves through the body. A dental student has to see small structures, colours, procedures, and clinical details clearly. A physiotherapy student has to connect a technique with the concept behind it. A nursing student has to understand scans, symptoms, and case presentations. An engineering student has to visualize circuits, machines, magnetic fields, and technical processes that cannot always be seen directly.
These are not subjects that can be taught only through text.
Earlier, faculty had to work around the limits of blackboards, projectors, pen drives, laptops, and manually prepared notes. Projectors were not always clear. Diagrams took time to draw. Videos had to be downloaded in advance. Quizzes had to be prepared separately. If a student missed a class, the explanation often had to be repeated or borrowed through someone else's notes.
Teachmint X helped bring these teaching moments into one classroom flow.
Faculty could open saved content, display visuals, use EduAI, show videos, create quizzes, record classes, save whiteboards, take attendance, and share material with students after class.
The result was a classroom where students could see more, revisit more, and connect theory with practice more easily.
In many of Navodaya's programs, visual clarity directly affects understanding.
For Dr. Chandrika G. Katti, Professor in the Department of Orthodontics, this is especially true in dentistry. Students need to understand small structures, treatment details, colour, magnification, and practical application. Earlier, projectors made this difficult because images were not always clear, colours changed, and visibility became a challenge in larger classes.
With Teachmint X, she could show clearer visuals, access prepared material easily, and help students understand how a concept would work in practice.
“In dentistry, we are more of artists. We have to work on the small teeth, may it be fillings or orthodontic therapy. Everything is practical, and we need students to understand how it actually works.”
The same need for visual clarity appeared in pharmacy.
Dr. Aishwarya Biradar, Assistant Professor in the Pharmacy Practice Department, spoke about teaching pharmacology, where students have to understand mechanisms of action, drug movement, first-pass metabolism, and how a drug travels through the body. These ideas are difficult to absorb through paragraphs alone.
With Teachmint X, she could add pictures, videos, flowcharts, and EduAI-generated support into the class. A concept that would otherwise stay abstract could be shown visually.
“If I explain only through paragraphs, students will not be able to understand it. If flowcharts are there, it is easy for them to understand.”
For students, this changed the learning experience from simply hearing a topic to actually seeing how it works.
Teachmint X also helped faculty reduce the time spent on setup and manual preparation.
Earlier, a teacher might spend time carrying a laptop, connecting a projector, arranging a pen drive, drawing a diagram, searching for an image, preparing quiz questions, or rewriting notes. In professional subjects, even a small delay could reduce the time available for explanation.
With Teachmint X, faculty could start faster and teach with fewer interruptions. Saved resources, EduAI, videos, whiteboards, quizzes, and summaries helped them spend more class time on the concept itself.
For Dr. Yatindra, Professor and HOD of Cardiopulmonary Sciences, the difference was visible even before entering the class.
“Earlier I used to prepare for a class for almost one to one and a half hours. Now it has drastically come down to 15 to 20 minutes.”
In engineering, the time saved showed up inside the class.
Dr. Santhosh Kumar, Associate Professor in the Electrical and Electronics Department, earlier spent long minutes drawing diagrams for electrical machines, magnetic fields, armature reaction, current flow, and power systems. With Teachmint X, he could bring up HD visuals, three-dimensional images, and animations through EduAI.
“I saved around 20 minutes of time in my class. I can explain more things, more detailed about that particular concept.”
That time did not disappear from the class. It returned to teaching. Faculty could use it to explain better, answer doubts, show more examples, and connect the concept to its application.
One of the strongest shifts at Navodaya was not limited to senior faculty.
Teachmint X also helped newer teachers enter the class with more structure and confidence.
Dr. Aishwarya Biradar spoke about the pressure she felt as a new teacher. She had seen experienced lecturers carry books, prepare references, mark notes, and manage classes through years of practice. Teachmint X helped ease that burden by allowing her to organize topics, save whiteboards, add material before class, and connect one topic to the next.
“Before entering this teaching field, I was scared. But using Teachmint has really saved me from that pressure, because I can generate everything at my tips now.”
For experienced faculty, Teachmint X reduced repetitive work. For newer faculty, it made preparation feel more manageable. In both cases, it helped teachers walk into class with better tools and more confidence.
In professional education, one missed class can affect the next one.
If a student misses a pharmacology mechanism, a physiotherapy demonstration, a nursing case discussion, or an engineering circuit explanation, the next topic becomes harder to follow. Traditionally, students had to depend on classmates' notes or ask the teacher to repeat the explanation.
Teachmint X helped Navodaya make learning easier to revisit.
Faculty could save whiteboards, record classes, create summaries, and share materials. Students who missed class could go back to what was taught. Teachers could also return to a saved board and continue from the exact point where the previous class ended.
Professor Tabitha Ravish, who teaches Mental Health Nursing and Psychology, found this especially useful because every topic cannot always be completed in one class.
“Whenever I save that, it becomes very easy for me to pull back that and continue from the point where I left. I don't have to spend more time again briefing up about yesterday's lecture because it is already available on the board.”
This changed the class from a one-time explanation into a learning record that both students and teachers could return to.
Teachmint X also made quizzes and assessments easier to use as part of everyday teaching.
Earlier, teachers had to prepare questions manually, conduct the test, evaluate the answers, and analyze performance separately. Because of this, quizzes often happened only occasionally, even when teachers wanted to check understanding more frequently.
With Teachmint X, faculty could generate quizzes immediately after class and use them to see whether students had understood the topic.
For Dr. Yatindra, this changed the rhythm of assessment. Earlier, he conducted quizzes weekly because preparing 30 to 40 questions took time. With Teachmint X, he could conduct almost five quiz sessions a week as part of regular class teaching.
For Dr. Santhosh Kumar, the change was even sharper in exam analysis. Earlier, analyzing one exam could take four to five hours. With Teachmint X, the same analysis could be completed much faster.
“Earlier, to analyze all the ranks and reports, it took around four to five hours for one exam. Now it is very easy to analyze. It takes around 10 to 15 minutes.”
This made assessment more useful for both teachers and students. Instead of waiting for delayed feedback, teachers could understand learning gaps sooner and respond while the topic was still fresh.
What makes Navodaya's use of Teachmint X distinct is the range of subjects it supports.
In dentistry, clear visuals help students understand small structures and procedures. In pharmacy, flowcharts, images, and EduAI help explain mechanisms and current references. In mental health nursing, scans and highlighted images help students compare normal and clinical conditions. In physiotherapy, recorded classes help students revisit demonstrations and clarify doubts. In engineering, animations and diagrams help students understand invisible concepts like magnetism, current, and machine movement.
Each department uses Teachmint X differently because each discipline teaches differently.
But the goal is the same: make complex learning easier to see, understand, revisit, and apply.
Dr. M.D. Shoaibuddin Madni, Associate Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering and IQAC Coordinator, described the role of Teachmint X in one clear phrase.
“TeachmintX is an AI-powered digital copilot for the educators.”
For Navodaya, that digital support matters because its classrooms are preparing students for clinics, labs, hospitals, and technical environments where understanding must become action.
Navodaya has always looked at education as a long-term investment.
That belief is visible in the institution's investments outside the classroom: advanced healthcare infrastructure, simulation-based learning, skill labs, professional training, and a larger move toward digitalized campus processes.
With Teachmint X, the same thinking is now visible inside the classroom.
In dental education, faculty use clearer visuals to explain fine structures, orthodontic procedures, and clinical applications. In pharmacy, teachers bring mechanisms, flowcharts, current references, and quizzes directly into class. In mental health nursing, scans, case comparisons, and highlighted visuals help make complex conditions easier to understand. In physiotherapy, recorded classes and visual demonstrations help students revisit techniques after class. In engineering, animations, diagrams, and EduAI help make invisible concepts like current, magnetism, and machine design easier to visualize.
The disciplines are different, but the underlying need is the same.
Faculty need to teach complex ideas clearly. Students need to understand, revisit, and apply them. Institutions need academic processes to become more efficient, connected, and scalable.
For Navodaya, this is where classroom technology becomes meaningful. It is not about making the class look modern. It is about making every class more useful for the real world students are preparing to enter.
Navodaya's journey has always been guided by the belief that education is the greatest asset.
That belief shaped its growth from a pharmacy college into a multi-disciplinary campus. It shaped its investment in healthcare education, simulation labs, technical programs, and student-friendly infrastructure. And now, with Teachmint X, it is shaping how professional education is delivered inside the class.
Teachmint X does not replace the teacher's passion, preparation, or experience. It strengthens it.
It helps faculty explain better, demonstrate better, assess faster, save more, share more, and support students beyond the live class. It helps students move from listening to seeing, from seeing to revisiting, and from revisiting to applying.
For a Campus of Possibilities, the future of education is not only about better infrastructure. It is about making every class more connected to the real world students are preparing to enter.
At Navodaya Group of Institutions, that future is being built one class at a time.
